Mr. Rudain Kawar, a pioneer in Jordan’s ICT sector, is a principal shareholder and Chairman of Optimiza. He is the CEO of the Jordan-based Kawar Group of Companies, a multifaceted organization serving the MENA region across various sectors, including shipping, logistics, travel and tourism, information and communication technologies, real estate, energy, health insurance, services, international trade, and development. In 2008, he initiated and became the Vice Chairman of Kawar Energy, a developer of clean, green, and sustainable energy projects. He is the Vice Chairman of IrisGuard, a company specializing in iris recognition technologies. Furthermore, Rudain Kawar serves as a Board Member of Maersk – Jordan & Lebanon and is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, the ICC Commercial Crime Services (CCS) in London, and the Multiport Ship Agencies Network, London (MSAN). The MSAN is an international club comprising 171 leading ship agents operating in 1500 ports, of which Mr. Kawar has been a member since its establishment in 1978. In the healthcare sector, Rudain Kawar holds the position of Vice Chairman at NatHealth, a third-party administrator for medical insurance. His strong sense of social responsibility is reflected in his role as a Board Member of Injaz, an organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing Jordanian youth and enhancing their employment prospects. He is also a Chairman of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and is actively involved in various business and philanthropic associations.
Mr. Kawar serves as the Honorary Consul General of Denmark in Amman, Jordan, and is a Chairman of the Jordanian Scandinavian Friendship Association and the Greek Business Association. He completed his education at Boston College in 1985, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Sciences and an MBA in 1987 from Boston College.
