The Kingdom Health announced the commencement of integrated security systems works across its academic medical ecosystem in Jordan following the signing of an agreement between MID Contracting, the project’s contractor for the finishing works of the medical and academic facilities, and Optimiza, a leading regional systems integration and digital transformation solutions provider.
Through the agreement, Optimiza will deliver a comprehensive package of integrated security systems, including the supply, installation and commissioning of advanced security solutions across campus.
The scope includes more than 1,600 surveillance cameras with video management and recording servers, 800 access-controlled doors, airlock systems for critical medical areas, an intercom communications system, and a fully synchronized hospital master clock system consisting of 200 clocks.
The integrated systems are designed to support a secure, intelligent, and highly coordinated operating environment across The Kingdom Health ecosystem, enabling seamless day-to-day operations while reinforcing safety, efficiency, and resilience across clinical, academic, and research settings.
Commenting on the agreement, Osama Fattaleh, Chief Executive Officer of The Kingdom Health, said, “Building a next-generation academic medical ecosystem requires infrastructure that is as intelligent, resilient, and future-ready as the care and education it is designed to deliver. Our partnership with Optimiza represents an important step in establishing the operational backbone, ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and coordination across every part of the ecosystem. This is critical to our vision of creating an institution that sets new benchmarks for healthcare, education, and research in Jordan and the region.”
Optimiza is scheduled to complete the agreed scope of work for the hospital building in early 2027, followed by the medical school and supporting facilities by the end of 2027.
Majed Sifri, Chief Executive Officer of Optimiza, said, “Optimiza highly values the trust placed in us by The Kingdom Health and is proud to be a strategic partner in this landmark healthcare initiative. Leveraging our extensive regional experience as a digital transformation solutions provider, we are committed to delivering a fully integrated, state-of-the-art security solution that meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and innovation. Through our proven expertise in implementing complex healthcare projects, we will ensure the delivery of a secure, intelligent, and future-ready environment that supports Kingdom Health’s vision and long-term success.”
Currently under development in Jordan, The Kingdom Health is an integrated academic medical ecosystem comprising a university hospital, a health sciences university, and a research institute designed to operate as one cohesive system. Supported by leading global partners including UCLA Health and UCL Medical School, the project is scheduled to open in 2027 and aims to elevate healthcare delivery, medical education, and scientific research in Jordan and the wider region.
